 SYNOPSIS: (According to my husband, who has NOT read the book —  see how well he listens to my bookish ramblings)

Insta-boners and sexy times all around for these paranormal beings!!  Gena has done it again!  The only thing I don’t get is why this guy has a butterfly tattoo on his stomach.  Nothing screams “sexy man”, like a butterfly tattoo.  Raise your hand if you think Betty should let me get one?  Christmas is coming up. ;-)

•  THE KISSING –  My cheeks are burning just thinking about this.  Do you guys know Gena Showalter?  Her characters always sizzle, but Torin and Keeley are EXPLOSIVE!  For real… O M G.  Their passion was irresistible and they were ridiculously hot together regardless of whether they were on the floor of a cave… a forest… a bedroom… etc.  Catch my drift?  I sure hope so!  Ok, fine… here is an example.. (you’re welcome)

Her body was a treasure map, and every spot should have been marked with an X.  No matter where he ventured, his every nerve ending reacted, catching fire.  (HOLY SWOON.  REALLY??   IF THIS DOESN’T KNOCK EVERY OTHER GUY DOWN A FEW PEGS I DON’T KNOW WHAT WILL!  HE CHERISHES THIS WOMAN!)

***If you aren’t a fan of extremely sexy material– you might want to avoid this one!  This was QUITE steamy even for me.***

• THE SWOONING – Torin, Torin, Torin.  Torin is a BEAST… an insanely hot warrior, but unfortunately hosts the demon of disease, which means he makes people sick and often kills them with a single touch.  This makes it pretty rough for him in the intimacy department, but this book changes everything, and YES– THE GLOVES ARE COMING OFF!  He is strong, fearless, passionate, nurturing, and extremely possessive.  Basically he is the ultimate alpha male!
• THE SWAGGER –  Torin, the untouchable…. meet Keeley, The Red Queen.  He has finally met his match– someone more powerful than himself!  It was addicting to watch these two fall for each other.. they are equally stubborn and controlling, which makes for some really fun banter!  As usual for this series, a solid, compelling plot lingers behind the romance!

• THE UMMMM WHAT?? –  Insta-boners killl me!  The whole… immediate “I WANT YOU SO BAD… MY FLY IS GUNNA BUST…. TAKE YOUR CLOTHES OFF…. MINE!!!” when the two people don’t even know each other yet doesn’t work for me EVER!  BUT… I will say… the relationship building happened later in the book and I loved it.  There is a scene where Keeley makes TorIn a new shirt and they joke about him being Batman.  I legit felt all warm and fuzzy seeing their walls come down as they let each other in!

ENCORE:

This is my fourth Lords of the Underworld novel and I am once again HOOKED!  I adore these MEN!  I love that they are all involved in every single book!  I hate it when characters get left behind in a series.  That is never the case in this world, which is impressive considering how many books there are!  Their bonds get stronger with each new story and I fall harder each and every time.  The plot was also pretty awesome…. I actually kinda sorta fell for Hades!  Whaaat??  That’s what I said!  You can expect plenty of dealings with creatures of the underworld– even creepy, perverted minions.  Torin and Keeley made a great team, not just in the bedroom, but on some intense missions!  Keeley is one of my favorite characters that Gena has written.  She is hilarious– arrogant, incredibly stubborn, impatient, but also vulnerable and insecure at times!  She knows how to put Torin in his place!  It was fun to see a woman in control!  I definitely consider this book another win for Gena Showalter!  If you are into paranormal romance- give this series a shot!
